It may be true. Some treatments like dental procedures are extremely expensive in the US and other countries. So Americans/Australians do travel to places like Thailand, Malaysia etc where it still costs them less to buy air ticket, live in hotel for few days, have the surgery and go back.

But never heard of it happening in Pakistan..
