ایران کی غلطی یہ نہیں تھی کے اس نے ایک مسافر طیارے کو غلطی سے نشانہ بنایا. اس کی غلطی یہ تھی کے اس نے اس غلطی کرنے کی مناسب منصوبہ بندی نہیں کی تھی

ایران کو چاہے تھا کے اس نے مسافر طیارے کو غلطی سے نشانہ بنانے سے پہلے افواہوں کا بازار گرم کرتا جیسے کے مغربی میڈیا نے عراق پر حملہ کرنے سے پہلے جھوٹی خبروں، رپوٹوں اور ویڈیوز کے ذریعے کیا تھا. ایران کو چاہے تھا کے ایسے خدشات کا اظہار کرتا کے اسے خبریں مل رہی ہیں کے"نامعلوم ممالک/ادارے" ایران میں دہشت گردی کا منصوبہ بنا رہے ہیں

غلطی کرنی تھی تو ایسے طیارے کا انتخاب کیا جاتا جس میں ایرانیوں کی زیادہ تعداد نا ہوتی (جیسا کے نو گیارہ حملے کی منصوبہ بندی میں عمارتوں میں موجود یہودیوں کی کم حاضری مدنظر رکھا گیا)؛

جہاز اور زمینی عملے کے مابین گفتگو کی ایک آڈیو تیار کی جاتی جس میں سنایا جاتا ہے کے کچھ سفید فاموں نے جہاز اغوا کر لیا ان کا مطالبہ ہے کے ایرانی حکومت فوری طور پر مستعفی ہو جائے ورنہ جہاز کو آبادی پر گرا کر تباہ کر دیں گے. ابھی مذاکرات جاری ہی تھے کے جہاز میں افراتفری کی صورتحال پیدا ہو گئی. شائد عملے نے اغوا کندگان کو قابو کرنے کی کوشش کی یا اغوا کندگان نے جہاز کو آبادی پر گرانے کے لئے جہاز کا انتظام خود سنبھلنے کی کوشش کی. اس صورتحال میں بڑے نقصان سے بچنے کے لیے چاروناچار جہاز کو میزائل سے اڑنا پڑا

کیونکہ یہ غلطی تھی اسلئے ایران کو اس تمام تر منصوبہ بندی کا موقع نہیں ملا. اگر افغانستان اور عراق پر حملے جیسی منصوبہ بندی کی گئی ہوتی تو آج ایران ملزم ہونے کی بجائے بڑی تباہی روک لینے کے صلے میں امن کے عالمی انعام کر مستحق ہوتا​

Iran itself let the civilian plane fly during the time it decided to attack American bases in Iraq. This because they wanted a human shield if Americans retaliate in an unlikely event. Unfortunately, they fell in the hole they dig for others and fired on a civilian plane not once but twice. !

There were no major weapons of mass destruction but Saddam had already killed tens of thousands of Kurds and Iranians by chemical weapons, had tried to build a nuclear reactor, had invaded Kuwait and used to pass on threats to Saudia and the rest of Gulf states. Its like a known killer getting killed in a fake encounter.
