Well like him or not, I agree with him.

The problem is 2 sided. The govt/police thought it was going to sound flashy to publish details of everythign they were doing, or had done....'geo fencing', 'dna matching','foot trackers',/
On the flip side, if the govt and police had not said anything, media would be up in arms about 'lack of information' and 'lack of transparency', and the opposition would have been hinting at collusion with culprits etc.
