I have had the chance of a one-on-one meeting with the gentleman about an year ago. His views are pragmatic and fact-based about Pakistan. But, unfortunately his voice remains unheard in the related corridors (Washington). Neo-cons prevail !!!

I am also lucky to attend a lecture delievered by this gentleman...................Stephen P Cohen is an authority on South Asian Politics in general and India, Pakistan in particular.....................No doubt tha Pakistan has been and currently is epicentre of INTERNATIONAL TERRORISM. The major reason behind it AFGAN ISSUE and KASHMIR ISSUE...........If international forces are sincere to bring PEACE in this part of the world, they should PUSH FORCEFULLY BOTH INDIA AND PAKISTAN TO SETTLE KASHMIR ISSUE...............THE UN SHOULD PLAY A LEADING ROLE IN THE SETTLEMENT OF KASHMIR ISSUE.........

THE VIEWS OF KASHMIRIS SHOULD BE THE ONLY FACTOR IN DETERMINING THEIR FATE....

AFGHAN PROBLEM ALSO NEEDS DIALOGUE WITH EVERY SECTION OF AFGHAN SOCIETY INCLUDING TALIBAN....
