"Zardari will have immunity in Switzerland" - Aitzaz Ahsan

LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Aitzaz Ahsan on Saturday said that President Asif Ali Zardari would have immunity in Switzerland also, DawnNews reported.

Speaking to media representatives in Lahore, Ahsan said Article 248 of the Constitution did not allow any court to initiate proceedings against the president.The PPP leader moreover said that he was not acting as a mediator between the executive and the judiciary or between the PPP and the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N).

Ahsan further said that if the prime minister or the president were to be removed constitutionally, no harm would come to democracy.

Regarding the court’s order on the NRO implementation case, Ahsan said the government had not been given six options, it had, in fact, been told that the court could use all the six options listed in the order.
Responding to a question regarding the defence secretary’s sacking, the PPP leader said Khalid Naeem Lodhi could approach the courts to challenge his termination.

Why did you come on BBC hard talk and moan about justice and judiciary when all you were going to do in the end was to protect the BIGGEST CRIMINAL in pakistan??

This is a matter of honesty and even if constitution allows him still as a Muslim head of state he should come clean, and not hide under constitution or Lawyers.

This is the example he need to set for others to follow, other things he should do is stop using more than fifty cars in his entourage when travelling, does he believes in the fact that one dies only once and when it is written by Allah S.W.T.

Regarding Memo he is making excuses, the memo has things written in it that undetermined Pakistan and the Army, he should appear in court and be willing to answer all the questions. As it is a matter of Pakistan's integrity.

Than their is a case of Raymond Davis, he should find out who gave visas to foreign secret service without checking their background, so there are plenty of things he should act on before he can call foul about Judiciary.

That is not how a head of a Islamic republic do things. All must be done as was at the time of Khulf-e-Rshedeen or at least try to show his Nation that he is trying, As people of Pakistan see it, he does not give a damn to any of the things Pakistanis are asking and therefore all ae accusing him, he should listen to the voices od his people and not ignore them if he want to be popular Leader and not a hated one.

My intent here is to show the facts on the ground and hope that it will have some effect for the sake of Pakistan and for the sake of the office of the president of Pakistan.

There is a rumor that Mr. Aitezaz made lot of money winning cases in supreme court after the restoration.

Now they are on different paths.

Winning cases is not and should not be the criterian in a Islamic republic of Pakistan, Winning hearts and minds is the noble thing to do for all including these Lawyers.

These co called Lawyers are not a role model for our young, they are infact despised and thought as dispicable ones, i hoope they can work to improve it by their honest hard work and not for money.
