Obama phones Zardari; condoles Pak soldiers death

WASHINGTON: US president Barrack Obama on Sunday telephoned President Asif Ali Zardari and offered condolences over the martyrdom of Pakistani soldiers in Nato air strike.A White House statement said Obama placed a call early Sunday to Zardari expressing his regrets over the "tragic loss" and promising a "full investigation" into the incident, which has plunged the two uneasy allies into a diplomatic crisis.Obama "made clear that this regrettable incident was not a deliberate attack on Pakistan and reiterated the United States' strong commitment to a full investigation," the statement said.Islamabad has so far refused to take part in a US investigation into the November 26 air strikes on the Afghan border.But the White House said Obama and Zardari nonetheless "reaffirmed their commitment to the US-Pakistan bilateral relationship, which is critical to the security of both nations, and they agreed to stay in close touch."In the wake of the strikes, Pakistan decided not to take part in the Bonn Conference on the future of Afghanistan that opens Monday -- a decision which, together with the Taliban's boycott, has cast the event's usefulness into doubt. Pakistan has also shut down NATO's vital supply line into Afghanistan and ordered American personnel to leave Shamsi air base.The base is widely understood to have been a hub for the covert CIA drone war on Taliban and Al-Qaeda commanders in Pakistan's troubled border areas with Afghanistan. i think Pakistan should visit Bonn Conference now but with very strong demands like

• No role of India in Afghanistan other than simple diplomatic/economic relations.
• No infiltration from Afghan side into Pakistani border areas like what we have seen in Chitral & Deer.
• Afghanistan should hand over all baloch leaders who are residing in Afghanistan and operating against Pakistani Interest in Balochistan.
• US & NATO forces should leave Afghanistan within 2 Years else Pakistan will not be allowing its soil to be used as supply line.
• We can also rephrase this demand like after Dec 2014 Pakistan will stop all kinds of logistics support to NATO forces in Afghanistan.
• If allied forces wants to have negotiations , its better that they should talk directly with Afghan Leader Mullah Umer & Gulbadeen Hikmatyar in presence of Pakistan.

اس کا مطلب یہ ہوا کہ غیر ارادی طور پر امریکی ہیلی کاپٹر نے ٹیک آف کیا، غیر ارادی طور پر اس کا رخ پاکستان کی طرف ہوا، غیر ارادی طور پروہ پاکستانی دفاعی پوسٹ کے پاس پہنچا، غیر ارادی طور پر اس نے پوسٹ کا نشانہ لیا، غیر ارادی طور پر ھیلی کاپٹر میں بیٹھے فوجی کا ہاتھ بم کے بٹن سے لگ گیا اور بٹن دب گیا۔ بعد ازاں ھیلی کاپٹر کے پائلٹ نے غلطی سے ھیلی کاپٹر دوسری چوکی کی طرف موڑا اور غیر ارادی طور پر ایک اور فائر کر دیا۔

اگر ایسا ہی ہے تو اس کا مطلب یہ ہوا کہ امریکی فوجی تو دنیا میں سب سے زیادہ خطر ناک ہیں، کہیں غیر ارادی طور پر ان کے کسی جہاز کا رخ پینٹا گون یا وائٹ ہاؤس کی طرف ہو گیا، اور غیر ارادی طور پر وہاں پہنچنے کے بعد اس نے فائر کر دیا؟ پھر غیرارادی طور پر مزید دو چار فائر کر دیے تو یقیننا ایک بڑا نقصان ہو جائے گا۔ اسی طرح امریکی فوج کے پاس جو پچاس ہزار ایٹمی ہتھیار ہیں ان میں سے چند ایک بموں کے آپریٹرز نے غیر ارادی طور پر چلا دیے تو امریکہ کا وجود تو خطرے میں پڑ جائے گا۔

اس کا مطلب یہ ہوا کہ دنیا کی سب سے زیادہ خوفزدہ قوم کو سب سے بڑا خطرہ اپنے ہی فوجیوں اور سیکورٹی حکام کی طرف سے ہے، لیکن کوئی بات نہیں، امریکی اتنا سا رسک تو لے ہی سکتے ہیں، وائٹ ہاؤس اور پینٹا گون تباہ ہونے کے بعد تحقیقات سے پتہ چل ہی جائے گا کہ ذمہ دار کون تھا اور پھر اس ذمہ دار پر دنیا کے سب سے بڑی عدالت میں مقدمہ بھی چلایا جائے گا اور اسے قرار واقعی سزا دی جائے گی۔ اور پینٹا گون کی تباہی پر یورپی یونین، برطانیہ اور تمام امریکی آفیشیل افسوس کا اظہار بھی ضرور کریں گے۔ لیکن یاد رکھیے یہ سب ارادی طور پر نہیں کیا گیا۔
