Gandhi claimed celibacy at a rather early age thereby punishiing his wife by depriving her from sexual requirements whilst he himself probably slept with a million white women!!. He was also a racist who hated black people in particular despite having studied in South Africa, a closer analysis reveals that he is celebrated in India and some parts the West not really anywhere else. Pakistanis laugh at him where as many African's hate him!

One thing he never was or will be is a creator of a nation like Muhammad Ali Jinnah who has his political critics but people don't laugh at his behaviour or hypocrisy.

Thanks for posting this photo. I hadn't seen it before. I don't think any Indian would be offended by this photo. Nice to see Gandhi having fun. He always had good sense of humour. Many people in India like Gandhi, many don't and many have mixed feeling regarding him. His whole life is open book, people can read it and make their opinion. I have read about him and he certainly was not ordinary. He was our leader so we have every right to honour his good deeds and complain or ridicule what he didn't do well.
