“I saw the Messenger of Allah (saw) performing tawaf around the Holy Ka`ba saying to it:‘how pure and good you are! how pure and good your fragrance is! how great and exalted you are! and how great and exalted your sanctity is! But by Him in Whose hand is Muhammad’s soul, the sanctity of a believer’s blood and property in the sight of Allah is greater than your sanctity!’

Your question is; Do you follow a religious book and if you do,
    how do you approach it?

More than 100 percent correct what Mr. Ghamdi is saying about approaching the Quran.
Unfortunately we approach Quran with 'PREDETERMINED CONCEPTS, BELIEFS,
SECTS, POSITIONS, ETC. ETC. ETC." and wish to twist Quran according to this position.
It should be otherway round, our Concepts, creeds etc etc should be transformed according
to what is written in Quran. In nutshell unless one approaches Quran with neutral position,
it does not serve the purpose.

    Re: How to Approach Qur'an?

Don't follow any person or scholar's advice.
ALLAH has given us all a mind which can understand the Quran and we should understand it ourselves. The translation is so easy that everyone can understand it if it is read continuously and with complete attention.

If we get biased by someone else's ideas or explanation, then there is a chance we may wander of the right track.

All so-called scholar's have their own mindset and want common people to follow their ideas.

Today in this age of deception, no one can be unilaterally accepted to be on the right path and have the one correct understanding. Everyone of the so-called scholars want a following of their own, for one reason or the other.
