They are making their position clear because media is supposed to be neutral and MQM accused them of being biased against it.

They are just defending themselves. It's quite funny actually. How the media is being accused of being biased by a party which until very recently was being given disproportionately more coverage than any other party, including live news coverage and participation in talk shows.
