    Saying Happy Christmas / Happy Diwali / or Any Holy Day to Non Muslims

    All my Non Muslims friend, Please don't take this topic as offending or hateful towards you - You have got every right to celebrate your occassions but I just want to share some useful information with my fellow muslim brothers and sisters.

    AOA brothers and sisters,

    There is a masla, Can we can say Happy diwali, Happy Diwali to our non muslim friends/colleagues, now I am not trying to tell you my opinion, but want to share some useful information regarding this masla

    Source: http://askimam.org/fatwa/fatwa.php?a...1dd8268495d649

    A Muslim can however greet and compliment a non Muslim on matters not concerning religion they follow, such as winning a sport, passing an exam, on getting promotion in job and so on.

    Allah knows best and may kindly forgive me for any error.

    By the way... what is the problem in saying have a nice day..... enjoy your day... or something similar...

    By the way there is "DIFFERENCE OF OPINION" on this subject.... whether to greet them or not.... which our Mufti Saab has failed to recognize??

    What does Mr. Mufti say about these Verses from the Quran??

    The Noble Qur'an An-Nisa 4:86

    When you are greeted with a greeting, greet in return with what is better than it, or (at least) return it equally. Certainly, Allâh is Ever a Careful Account Taker of all things.

    Alfurqan... 25:6And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness.

    By the way... what will Mr. Mufti do if he by chance gets a chance to work for the UK or US... will he pass by silently if someone greets him...

    If you want to read in detail.... Have a look...

    Now let me ask my muslim brothers a question:
    Who has more knowledge of Islam, scholars or ordinary muslims...?

    If an ordinary Muslim is capable of consulting with the Quran and a scholar refuses to see beyond his nose... than an ordinary Muslim...

    If the scholar discards his own views...and follows the Quran and traditions of the Holy Prophet than obviously the scholar..

    By the way... it also depends upon what you call ordinary???

    This is a perfect answer to this question. These type of "Mufti" only read "Paki Rooti Kitaab" nothing else. They are not
    aware of Quranic verses. I entirely agree to your post.

    @habbasi,
    Brother. No doubt Dr. Zakir Naik is well known Alim. But his arguments in the video are not convincing. When we say to
    them, "Happy Christimas", it does not absolute mean that we are accepting what their creed is. "To every Ummat Allah has
    made their deeds seem Fair, and UNTO HIM are everyone returning, He will inform them".
    Second point is that: Quranic verse about greeting is very clear and that is and should be authority over everyone including
    Dr. Naik. For your more information, I can give you link of two verses, WHEREIN THE CRITERIA OF FRIENDSHIP AND ENMITY IS
    CLEARLY DEFINED"
    http://www.quraneasyurdu.net/ps28/ch28l.html#8
    Perhaps with these verses, something may become more clear.

    @habbasi...

    Dear brother.... I never said... that we should go and start singing bhajans and saying "**** mata ki jai ho"" it was just have a nice day, week or whatever while abstaining from using words which agree with their philosophy....

    as simple as that....

    and I agree with Dr. Zakir Naik ...
