WASHINGTON - Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that his party and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had decided to contest next elections jointly on the basis of seat-to-seat adjustment.
He was talking to PML-Q office bearers in the United States on Tuesday. He claimed that democratic and parliamentary system had been strengthened in Pakistan after his party joined the ruling coalition.
He said the next elections would be held on schedule. He added that several PML-Q leaders who had left the party would soon return to party fold. He demanded that the killers of PML-Q General Secretary Chaudhry Tufail be brought to justice.
