Mr. Jinnah and his family were Ismaili and then in 1898, Mr. Jinnah submitted an affidavit in the court declaring himself as athna ashri Shia. Why can't some people face the facts. People love to believe any thing about ZA Bhutto but against Jinnah, it would seem like a sin.
Similarly, first FM of Pakistan was Ahmadi who refused to pray Jinnah's funneral prayer. Many people do not want to believe this. Also, only Pakistani Nobel prize winner was Ahmadi. Many people are afraid to believe this.
Bin Qasim raped both daughters of Raja Dahir and he was called back to the Capital and got punishment. Many people will like to issue fatwa against me.
Please read the history with out taking any sides. If Ashoka was the better ruler than all Muslim rulers combined. What would be the problem in believing that.
Sorry to disappoint you and this is really not worthy of argument. It is a matter of history
Mohammad Ali Jinnah was born into an Ismaeli family, and became shia sometime during his life
Marriage Certificate of M A Jinnah
The most interesting point is that the name of Jinnah reads as "Muhammad Ali wald (son of) Jeenah Khwaja Athna Ashari. . . ."
According to Jinnah of Pakistan by Stanley Wolpert (published by Oxford University Press), " ... he left the Aga Khan's "Sevener" Khoja community at this stage of his maturation, opting instead to join ... Isna 'Ashari sect ..." (p. 18).
The fact that he chose to convert to ithna 'ashari Shi'a Islam, indicates that he may have been more of a Muslim than many of us "inherited" Muslims.
His marriage was solemnised according to Ja'afari fiqh on 19th April 1918. The two persons who solemnised it were Sheikh Abul Qasim Najafi and the Maharaja of Mehmudabad, both ithna 'ashari Shi'a Muslims.
I have not made all that up okay find it yourself,
and accept it
Would it make a difference to your love for Pakistan ?
Ye to khud qadiani ha.
Once again this man is creating sectarian difference. Admin please don't show your bias towards MQM and don't delete this thread.
what are YOU trying to say that M A Jinnah was not shia ?
In my point of view for me my shia brothers are as dear to me as my sunni brothers. I detest sectarianism. However, for those people who claim that MQM is a "secular" party this is a farce. Clearly this is an attempt to win the votes of the Shia community and I note a lot of the MQM members belong to the Shia community.
We should not indulge into a sectarian debate here, but look at why MQM is specifically mentioning the "Shia" community for its purposes. I hope the debate is not derailed.
Quaid-e-azim Ismaili shia they.
