This journey will now be covered in just 40 minutes. IT led solutions such as E-ticketing and Intelligent Transport System are being introduced.

This project worth 30 billion rupees will be completed in the next few months.

The biggest public transport project in the history of Pakistan.

it is a good project, but I've concerns regarding its planning. You see I live in Lahore and the other day I had to go to Lahore General Hospital. Now comming from Kalma Chowk LGS is on your right side and the crossing for the hospital is made 500m further on the Ferozepur road from emergency gate of the hospital. Now for an ambulance to reach that gate it will have to travel 1km more and for some patients every single second counts.

So my rant is not, in anyway, to say that the project is a mere publicity stunt for more votes BUT should'nt we atleast be more through in planning. Hope this message goes to the proper authorities and they do something about it.

i feel that cm. don't aware about priorities. This would be wise to expand the New AC Green buses routes in every part of city than this massive project that cover only 20% of city.This project has shrink the ferozpore road and also make more trouble for terrific as per mentioned in above post.
CM is hasty person ,he use to do projects with lack of planing. Just a 2-3 years ago they have made wide green belt with water bores for keeping the belt green and metallic fences on both sides.Every thing has been ruined which make me really sad.
moreover if someone has got experience under the flyovers of Thokar, Kalma chowk and Muslim town, one could observe the clumsy terrific jam in peaks hours with no terrific light and even unable to manage manually by Sargent.

No doubt its a good step that will benefit people. But 32-km road @ Rs 30 billion for Lahore only will generate a feeling of deprivation and injustice among other Punjab cities

not a big deal .... pervaiz ilahi also introduced lot of projects and development work. but their only one system is appreciatable that was 112, its benefical for long time to whole punjab. but it doesn't make sense to making fly overs, roads and new development project just from last 6 months and have done nothing in first 4 years. is it tactics to gain some votes as usual . but whatever is going on its all over money. its all taxpayers money so they have to do something to show where they have some allocated budjet money.
its only pakistan where politicans take credits on road, fly overs and motorway type things. In europe and rest of world no body take credit on such things because they know that its normal development work.

Let me tell you what they are doing. They are now working on Mustafa Kamal Policy. They will dig up all the roads before the elections and already take the full money for it from the budget. Plus they will give the contracts to the companies willing to pay highest amount of commission. Construction will not start or only partly start until the next elections.

If the people vote them in power they will take more money to complete project if, however, they do not come to power its headache of the next government to complete it and they will still claim the credit for it.

This is simply known as Mustafa Kamal policy. This is how MQM played it in Karachi. And the stupid people like all praising Kamal will be praising Sharifs. what a shame!!!

i am not fan of MQM But i think all projects of Mustafa kamal was well planed as compared to shabaz sharif and give positive change. specially the mellinum overhead is highly appreciable.
Perwaiz illah,s 1122 project , punjab cardiac institute in Multan, computerized car registration, Punjab traffic police are also some good project
