@<ChOuDhArY>...how many seats r required to make the govt?
In total there are about 342 seats and to get a simple majority one need to have 172 seats..
But 342 also includes reserve seats so elections are contested on 262 seats which means around 131 + seats are equivalent to 172 seats (reserve seats are given to each party with respect to their position in 262 seats)

PTI could have derive this analysis from their membership campaign!! From the number of members submitted from different constituencies!!!
And I am really sorry to say that PTI is going to lose at least 10 potential seats in Karachi by not cashing anti MQM vote!! A rigorous anti MQM campaign in Karachi can win the support of all anti MQM people in Karachi, where Pashtuns and many urdu speaking who formerly voted for jammat and many new voters who recently break away from MQM like our family including Punjabis, and small proportion of Sindhis can vote for PTI but only if there is an anti MQM campaign!! The Jalsas at Karachi and Hyderabad are examples, where people from all communities stand together!! For God sake IK, why cant u see this through?

I don't know why my previous post was not allowed. May be because of links.
There was no such survey done. One insafian made a pdf file of PTI strength in constituencies and PTI progress. It is his personal assessment and not of party. This whole news story has been picked from that file which has no official signature or any thing. Just work of a worker on his own.
Here is the thread.

Check first post , especially end of it for pdf file made by a member.

Link of pdf file from where this story is taken but false reporting. Work of one individual has been shown as official. Officialy, PTI has not announced ticket for anyone yet.

Please correct your figures. There is no need to count the Women reserve seats because any party which win more direct seat can have more women seats.
Direct seats are: 272 (Even this news paper also gave wrong number of seats.)
check the link below:
http://www2.ecp.gov.pk/vsite/complet...?assemblyid=NA
Women Seats: 60
Minority seats: 10
Total: 342
So making a govt. a party (or alliance) needs 137 direct seats not 172 because 172 includes women and minorities reserve seats as well and 172 will be only achieved if the party wins 137 or more direct seats.
Thanks

This is not an official survey .. some PTI activists have completed this survey on their own and shared with each other. Its being updated regularly and is available on insaf forums in an open discussion.

This survey seems some what correct because it showed that PTI may win two or three seats only.
PTI and JI must for an electoral alliance to defeat PML(N) in Lahore, and it will benefit both the parties
equally.Geo Islam! GEo Pakistan! Geo Imran Khan!
