neED INFO REGARDING COURIERING 'MANGOES' TO UK

a FRIEND of mine queried me regarding this. so i thought it better to ask u guys. like he own a mangoe farm and wants to 'courier' his farm mangoes to his brother living in UK.
what options has he got for that purpose?
do COMMENT PLEASE. i know one can buy mangoes form market there in london, but he wants to send his FARM ONES

I suppose the only way to send them would be via air...wouldn't they go bad on a ship before reaching UK?

no..I think he should try contacting a few airlines to get their quotes....British airways courier flights should do the trick..

DHL was offering 10 kg for around 3500 last year, not sure if still valid
also not sure about customs regulations for personal import
but DHL was offering the service, I suppose this must be allowed.

ohhhhh Getting mangoes to UK... Impossible. Very small amount of mangoes are still getting there by air. But they become very costly. Almost one mango for one pound. Makro and Tesco has explored option on large scale years ago. They have now dropped the idea altogether. Because Pakistanis mangoes can only be brought by air. Bringing mangoes by air is not cost effective. It is all down to very short shelf life of Pakistani mangoes. Each year Pakistani High Commissions all over the world conduct yearly seminars and mango export conferences in all major capitals of Europe, USA and Australia. They are not successful in attracting any bussinessman to buy their mangoes. The only reason is 'short shelf life' of Pakistani mangoes. They go rotten within 48 hours and had to be thown away. No one wants to take that risk.

Pakistani agri scientists have to work hard and discover a hybrid variety of mangoes having long shelf life to get hold of marketes of Europe and USA. Nothing such things are being considered in Pakistan. Scientists in USA and Australia are trying hard to grow Pakistani mango trees in hot climates of California and Mid West for last 20 years. They are not getting success in growning these Pakistani mangoes. There trees do not follower or produce small amount of less sweet mangoes. Many local pests are also problem. The day they succeed in growing these mangoes in USA or Australia, the need to export mangoes from Pakistan would be over.

mera banda aaye gaa aur Mangoes lay jaaye gaa (destination FBD )... Bus ussay Faisalabad say aanay janay kaa kharcha paani Bhi day daina... Jis ko UK mein send karnay hein us kaa address, photo b day daina (Taa k bhool k b us kaa saamna naa ho paye)....

Kahan kab aur kiss ko pohanchanay hein is detail mein mera banda nahi parray gaa.. Ussay Mango k sahi aur baqwaqt istimaal kaa achaa tajarbaa hai..

Aik request hai ... Kya Mango kee amount barh sakti hai, q k mein aur mera banda aik aik nishist mein na janay kitnay khaa jatay hein ... Bus ab dair naa karoo..I cant wait to eat Farmy mangoes...
