People get very emotional about these things and its very difficult to establish the crime. You know Hazrat Usman (RA) burned the incomplete copies of Quran when a specific copy was established as being the true and complete version. We have only a single event in this regard where a Sahabi of highest caliber (among Khulfa e Rashadeen, Ashra Mubashira) had to dispose Quranic material. This is the accurate true way of doing it and we have NO other example from Sahaba's. Now in Pakistan people have been killed by others who thought that someone was burning portion of Quran as a disrespect.

It says clearly in the news pasted above that the man was abnormal. The killers of that man will definitely get punishment by Allah. Shame on these cowards who killed an abnormal person. They do not have guts to punish their local mna/mpa for not being able to provide them with basic necessities of life. But they are BRAVE enough to kill a helpless individual who even does not know what he was doing.
Yes guys, you deserve what is happening to you. So many times in Southern Punjab acts of gang rape have happened or they have paraded women naked in the streets, these BRAVE individuals never had balls to stop these kind of things. But yes they have now earned JANNAT by killing this individual.

So a mob accuses a guy of 'desecrating Holy Quran' and hand him over to Chini Goth Chakar police station near Bahawalpur.

Then after a couple of speeches (probably from the local maulvi sahib who needed his halwa or gosht), the mob changes its mind and attempts to punish the accused themselves.

Police tried to stop mob and force them out, mob becomes angry and attacks policemen, burns their cars and motorcycles, trash the police station, takes the accused away and BURNS him alive while police watches helplessly.

This should be vehemently condemned. The authorities concerned must take swift and
exemplary action against these barbarians, who themselves even do not know abc of Quran.
The utter ignorance on its extreme.
Hardly there is anything prescribed in Quran or in history that if someone disrespects
the book, he/she should be burnt alive (unless someone really give a reference for guidance).
This form of barbarianism does more harm to Islam than to be of any benefit.

یہ ہے بیچاری اور معصوم عوام ۔ بندہ انکی سوچ پر حیران و پریشان ہو جاتا ہے۔
ابھی پچھلے دنوں اسی معصوم عوام نے بجلی کی قلت پر احتجاج کیا تھا اور راستے میں عام آدمی کے سائیکل، رکشے، موٹرسائیکل اور کاروں کو تباہ و برباد کر دیا تھا۔ لیکن جب یہی معصوم عوام اپنے حلقے کے ایم این اے پر حملہ آور ہوئی تو اسکے باڈی گارڈز نے ان پر اندھا دھند فائرنگ کر کے دو چار کو ٹھکانے لگا دیا تو یہی معصوم عوام اپنی جوتیاں کھیتوں میں چھوڑ کر بھاگی تھی۔ تھو ہے ایسی بزدل عوام پر۔ جو کمزور پر تو ظلم کرنے کے لئے ہر وقت آستین چڑھا لے لیکن طاقتور کے سامنے ہمہ وقت خوشامدی ٹٹو کی طرح جی حضوری کے لئے پیش پیش رہے۔
