Not so long ago, 75 percent of the terror threats prioritized by MI5 had links to Afghanistan or Pakistan. But Britain’s efforts, along with those of its international partners, has brought that percentage down to below 50 percent, Evans said.

But the terrorist threat is also widening to include al-Qaida affiliates in Mali, Yemen, Somalia and parts of the Middle East, he noted.

Although the Arab Spring revolutions have brought about radical political changes in some countries, they have also brought fresh opportunities for al-Qaida affiliates to seek refuge.

“Some are heading home to the Arab world again,” Evans said. “And a small number of British would-be jihadis are also making their way to Arab countries to seek training and opportunities for militant activity, as they do in Somalia and Yemen. Some will return to the UK and pose a threat here. This is a new and worrying development.”

1- this is normal practice in every country if there is any wardaat in police thana area , first of all dus numberys of that area are rounded up , jo kuch kia hai bhugatna padta hai.

Sorry but that is simply not true, unless someone is caught actually committing a crime,the only way for them to be arrested is with proper procedures, arrest warrants, search warrants, gathering of evidence,witness statements etc.

Whenever something serious happens in my neighbourhood, the Local Police do not drag any and every tom **** and harry off to the Police Station, give them a good beating and say they have confessed. Instead straightaway,you have access to Lawyers and you cannot be questioned unless you agree to be,even then,it is under strict rules AND in the presence of a Lawyer if you choose. You are also informed in writing and verbally of your rights at the point of arrest,including the reason why you have been arrested and under which Law.

It is only in Banana Republics,where the Police can just round arressting innocent law abiding citizens. The reasons for that are historical,because we have not changed or modernised our Police or Criminal Procedure for decades. We just add bits as and when required, when what is required is a major overhaul of all things legal.

this is india i am proud of it ,where you will find crores of people like me who are fit with every religion, they may be bearing hindu ,muslim, christian ,name but they are humans .

i am most proud of my country for one thing here no body can stop any citizen of india from being prime minister or president of india on the basis of religion.

if you have come across any urdu speaker in karachi i am like them i have lived in and around uttar pradesh bihar cities for the last 30 years.
