Shoaib Akhter may announce his come back in ODI & T20

Lahore: World’s fastest bowler Shoaib Akhtar, whose colourful career has been a heady mix of on-field brilliance and off-field controversy, is likely to announce his return in International cricket in few days, sources said on Wednesday.
“The Rawalpindi Express, who announced to quit international cricket during World Cup 2011, will call a press conference soon in which he will announce his return in T20 and One Day International cricket.”

Akhtar, who made his international debut in 1997, took 178 wickets in 46 Tests, the last of which was against India at Bangalore in 2007. He is three wickets short of 250 in 163 one-day internationals and has taken 19 wickets in 15 Twenty20 internationals.

what a mistake, need more money or fame?, your body is already damaged goods, you are gonna get tired after 2 overs and then slow to field or give away free bees to other teams with inaccurate bowling, or something stupid with your comments on TV. If you get selected, a youngster who can be next Shoaib Akhtar fastest baller on earth will loose his chance and create a confusion in team building for next worldcup. Think of Pakistan Shoaib and enjoy your life at your nice home. You have to see your past few years videos of your bowling like one over at a time. Early overs the batsmen get scared as you still have steam, then 30-40 runs next overs as because of your age, you get tired with that 1 mile runup which Imran advise you not to do at your age, you get disrespected by batsmen with hitting by your inaccurate bowling. Then in the field you cannot stop fours, as you are tired. If the captain slects you or it is mandatory for you to bowl the last few overs, you are tired after long day in field, and you have the same sweaty face, bad vision, inaccurate bolwing, maybe one extremly fast bowl, and then another wide. What the hell man, stop it, for sake of pakistan. Sometimes our batsmen score a decent total, outclassing the opposition, and then you start your stupid bowling. You are relic of the past, stay put like that, if need money due porno movie in India, you will get money and girls too or maybe try bollywood like Veena malik, atleast that will not effect the kids and us die hard pakistani fans who love our team to perform. So selfish and I bet the corrupted PCb might even select him without understanding that Shoaib is not brand new and already 200,00 miles, need new tires, transmission and discipline at this age.

The news should say that he is 'available' for international cricket because no matter what he announces until he is selected it will not be a return to international cricket I doubt that he will be selected in the team. I guess he sees the depleted fast bowling resources in Pakistan and thinks that he can take advantage of the void.

By the way - what happened to our production pipeline for fast bowlers. After Asif no one has come thorough who is impressive. Before that we used to get a good fast bowler every 2-3 years. I see bleak future with no good prospects in any department. there is no good spinner on the horizon except for may Raza Hassan - batting has already been a worry and even Umar Akmal is petering out after a great debut. Fast bowling looks ordinary with Umar Gul in bad form and when we have Sami and Cheema as the other spearheads.

Problem is that most Pakistani cricketers are poorly educated without any qualifications so don't know what to do after their careers are over thus keep making comebacks. This injury prone fast bowler should accept that it's over instead of making a fool of himself.
