Missing persons: File case against agencies involved in disappearances, says SC

The Supreme Court, in its short order pertaining to the Balochistan missing persons cases, ordered for the recovery of 93 people who were still missing and ordered for a case to be registered against agencies accused of being involved in this matter, Express News reported on Wednesday.

“Protecting the people and their property is the state’s responsibility,” said the court in its short order.

“The agencies’ helplessness in recovering missing persons is beyond our understanding.”

The short order further said that the Frontier Corps (FC) was being accused of abducting people and directed the defense secretary to sit the agencies down in his office and solve the matter, FC is being accused of abducting people.

Earlier, the Supreme Court summoned the interior and defence secretaries and FC commander Major General Obaidullah Khattak along with other stakeholders to appear before a three-judge bench on Wednesday.

Chief Justice Ifthikar Muhammad Chaudhry ordered the registrar to cancel all other cases for Wednesday to hear the Balochistan case at length.

People who lost their lives due to terrorism should file case against SC for letting all terrorist go. All famlies of our Army sheeds should file case and protest outside SC for not punishing a single terrorist. JC name one person you have punished for terrorist activities.

It is all politics and PR stunts. SC believes more on syntax than semantics. If SC really want to give justice to the people then they need to fix lower judicary and entire judicail system: once it starts working we will see the concept of saza and jaza in action. As far as ISPR is concerened, they need to hire PR professionals who know how to deal with media and people's perception.
