PTI - Tsunami Moving into Sindh

Since PTI will be moving into Interior Sindh officially on 22nd June through Hyderabad its high time for some analysis. Sindh is currently the strong hold of PPPP but if PTI pulls another 30th October here then things can change very fast same as after Lahore. In 2008 Benazir's assassination was a big factor in PPPP's success in sindh where they ended up with 29 seats from Sindh and 3 in Karachi but now things are different.

Lets look at different cities of Sindh to see if there is a support base available

    Ghotki:
SMQ Joining and alot of support available in Ghokti through the influence of SMQ

Ubauro Jalsa (Town in Ghotki District)

    Umerkot:
Shah Mehmood's Ghausia jamaat will be a big factor here as seen during Umerkot Jalsa

    Dadu:
Iftikhar Ahmed Lund joins PTI. The nephew of the former Federal Minister Sardar Khalid Khan Lund (From NA200 - Ghotki-1) namely Iftikhar Ahmed Lund announced to join the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Saturday. This he announced while addressing a reception which was hosted in honour of the central PTI leaders. Iftikhar Ahmed Lund announced to be loyal to the PTI under the leadership of Imran Khan.

He is young and seems to be very sensible. His video attached is from Dadu not sure if he is related to Ahmed Khan Lund who contested elections from NA-232 Dadu-II on Pakistan Mulim League(QA) ticket and secured 41982 votes in 2002

    Larkana:
Was very surprised to see there is in fact some presence of PTI in Larkana

Re: PTI - Tsunami Moving into Sindh

I think PTI needs to do a lot of work in Sindh.

I hope and wish to see PTI progress in Sukkur, there are 2 NA seats (198 and 199) and 4 PA seats (if I remember properly). As usual PPP is very strong in this part of the country and just to give you the magnitude of its strength-Khursheed Shah got some 90k+ votes, so lots of campaign required.

I have heard (not sure though) Nadir Laghari is speeding up the process to promote PTI in Sindh.

Re: PTI - Tsunami Moving into Sindh

I don't think so PTI would make any difference in Sindh. Sindh is a strong hold of PPP. Most of the Sindhi population is
very poor and illetrate and they don't know about their rights. PTI will definately get votes from urban Karachi and
Hyderabad but will they convert into NA seats, there is a big question mark on that. I think PTI Should more focus on Rural Punjab which will make the difference in next elections.PTI needs to concentrate on Gojar Khan,Jhelum,Gugrat,Wazirabad,Faisalabad,Okara,Jhan g,Layyah,Muzzafargarh,Bahawalpur,Bahawalnagar,Toba tek singh. The problem with PTI is that they have no unity in their team at the moment.Old and new are fighting for their place in the party. PTI leadership needs to think about this seriouly. The momentum is with PTI at the moment and they should not waste this chance. PTI is the only party in Pakistan today enjoying popularity across the country. The must give task to each member of the party to contact with the people on daily basis.

Re: PTI - Tsunami Moving into Sindh

@FANTA , I would respectfully disagree few things to consider in sindh there is always a PPPP and anti PPPP vote. In last election It was PMLQ and PMLF who were the choice of the Anti-PPPP electables. Nawaaz shareef being pro punjab and almost anti sindh leader can not become a National leader but if PTI does a few good shows in Sindh all Anti-PPPP electables will be drawn towards PTI .

Another thing to consider is PMLQ and PPPP have an electoral alliance now so where ever the PMLQ candidate lost would not be given ticket and where PPPP lost would not be given ticket so all these candidates would be looking for a viable option in PMLN or PTI and who ever commands the popular vote will become the party of choice , FINGERS CROSSED

Another factor to consider is the Imran Khan Foundation which has been working in the flood areas for 2 years now

And PPPP is running out of Martyrs and there will not be a sympathy vote this time , In fact the opposite

PTI (the on-ground workers) must must campaign hard in Sindh. There is a great potential in converting PPP voters into PTI ones. The problem is that the poor Sindh hasn't really seen enough of Imran.

On-ground workers need to travel and work hard in membership campaign - I just cannot stress enough

Nope, my grandfather is from Sukkur, so there is "strong bond" with that place. We try to visit the city whenever we are in Pakistan.

Personally, I like/love that bridge also known as "scissors bridge" or Kaanchi bridge.

    You from Sukkur?

PPP ko sindh me haraana mushkil hi nahin na-mumkin hai... Just wait for the arrival of BILAWAL BHUTTO, and then you'll see how PPP will clean sweep from the Sindh. PTI is no where near PPP, its a distance of billion miles.

Bro, This is Pakistani Politics. In 1997 Elections Benazeer Bhutto was the Party chairperson and PPP only got 8 seats from Sindh and sfter the murder of benazir in Dec07, even though the sympathy vote was with PPP they only managed to win 29 seats from Sindh and this tome predictions are PPP will get around 20 seats in sindh. Bilawal Bhutto would not make any difference in Pak politics now,He needs to learn Urdu first. Aik aur baat "Kaanch kee Handya bar bar nahin Chartee"
