Islamabad: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’s counsel Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan on Tuesday said that there are more mistakes made in the detailed verdict of the Supreme Court than in the short order issued on April 26.
Ahsan severally criticised the detailed judgment of the apex court over contempt of court against the prime minister issued today.
“I am not satisfied with the verdict,” he added.
The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader vowed to present concrete evidences in front of the court when the prime minister will decide to file an appeal against the verdict.
He said the honourable judges should not have exceeded limits over the issue of ethics and morality.
“There are more mistakes made in the detailed verdict to overcome the previously made mistakes in the short order,” said the PM’s counsel.
He pointed out that several “leads” have been found in today’s verdict which will be helpful in appealing against the judgment.
Ahsan prohibited himself from further commenting on the verdict however he said that short orders can not be given in criminal trials.
