Parwez sb's understanding of the quran is not due to mere arabic language but the knowledge he had about things the quran is talking about. Tell me if I tell you to do something in the language you speak will you be able to do it? The answer is no. Ask yourself, why a few years old kid cannot do things that you can even though you both talk in same language? This is why no one who has no idea what the quran is talking about has the right to be critical of a person who knows what is being said. To be critical of anyone one must possess the needed knowledge and know how. An arab child is as clueless about the quran as an english or urdu speaking child. You tell an english speaking kid make me a cup of tea, he will not be able to do it and the results will be the same with your own child because something a person never known or experienced is out of his reach.

This is why we have ended up stupid because we do not think and give authority to illiterate and ignorant people to lead us and we worship them. If we want to do better then we must realise these very basic facts.

I have not come across anyone who understands how arabic language works. Not even an arab. Go and ask them yourself and find out. Don't be impressed by very long titles people use for each other to show how greatly learned they are but if you get in to nitty gritty of things you will soon come to know that it is all hot air.

When I say the quran is a great book I prove it by my arguments, which hardly anyone else has done here. I explained the criterion for proof and proving and then showed how the quran proves to be word of God.

All I see here is aimless criticism by mullah followers closed minded people who know ought about the quran. If we keep following mullahs then we will remain as ignorant and foolish as we have been for centuries. We will have no self respect nor respect by other in the world. If we are looking for dignity it lies not in lying under mullahs but in learning the quran properly.

So my dear brother please be kind enough to reflect on your make beliefs and see how hollow they are. It is all because there is no basis for such beliefs in the quran otherwise people would have challenged me and proven me wrong long ago. They just believe things because they have been told by their mullahs that if you do not say you believe things the way we tell you then you are not a muslim. We need to disregard such hollow approach to islam and quran. Quran is based upon solid criterion and it provides solid foundation for our existence. Dear friends, the best way to solve your jinn problem is to find out who claims to have jinns in his possession and then take him in to the dark room and process him till his jinns come and save him. You will soon come to know the truth.

This is why a lot of stories told in the name of the prophet are false so don't take them seriously or you cannot be right in blaming others for your own stupidity. The quran is full of verses telling us people attribute falsehood to Allah and his messengers yet I am surprised that people accept all nonsense in the name of Allah and rasool. So don't be this stupid and help others out of ignorance and stupidity.

Try and think out ways of testing jinn theories by anyone who claims anything and you will discover them all lies.

The quran uses word jinn for people and other things that are hidden from view for one reason or an other but they are not invisible non-physical creatures. Atoms are invisble but they are not nonphysical this is why we cannot see air for example.

It makes me sad that even educated people have not developed logical thinking in our society and because society is so dangerous that people of knowledge shy away from telling the truth.

People who argue for nonsense either have personal interest in it or that they are ignorant or mentally ill. The question is, how do we know who is talking sense and who is talking nonsense? This is what my posts are generally all about. Learn ideas and put them into practice and you will save yourselves a lot of bother.

Look at confusion of people like dr amina bilal philip and zakir naik. He is advising people to go to doctor, why? How would doctor know one is possessed by jinn or is mentally ill? Ask these guys why they are promoting such such nonsense and confusion? Why they do not say what is truth? You are right about the child raising a question instead ie what is tea or how to make it. This is exactly where I wanted to get you. This is what parwez is doing ie raising questions about things we do not know and trying to answer them the best he can. That is exactly what we all need to do so that we really come to know what does the quran mean about certain ideas and things. This is what mullahs are trying to stop ie inquiry in to the message of the quran by an ordinary man in the street.

The quran uses word jinn and we are trying to see what it means and why. All we can do is at least not give make belief meaning to this word and create nonsense beliefs and attribute them to Allah and then start fighting over that.

We have been doing exactly that for centuries and we are doing that in this very thread if you read all these nonsense posts. These people who do not know much themselves are trying to condemn others for trying to know what they do not know and they never even tried knowing it.

If they put their hands up in the air like the good children and say we do not know but please explain how you view things then we will be going places. It is because they stall sensible discussion they become a problem like mullahs of bani israel. This is what we need to stop.

The fundamental point for us to realise is that we cannot justify nonsense ideas and things just by quoting the quran or hadith in fact if we did that we will be disproving the quran and the hadith. Let me explain, let say you tell me killing of a child is a good thing to do, let us go and do it. If I ask you why do you think it is a good thing to do and you quote me the quran that quran says so then what should my response be? Ok let us go and do it or should I try and find out what you are saying is true or false before I join you?

Of course, any sensible person will try and find out before setting out on this venture. The question will rise whether quran is understood properly by you or not in light of rules of wisdom. The rules of wisdom dictate that purpose of any belief or action justifies it or rejects it so even the quran has to come up with purpose of why something should be done because the quran claims to be book of reason for making people wise. Therefore if you do not give me a reason that is consistent with the overall purposeful context of the quran then you have no clue what you are talking about. It matters not whether you have a phd or not because authenticity of what you are saying rests with what you are saying and the reason behind it that supports it. So you will either be able to justify what you are saying or fail to justify it and that is what will help me decide whether I should support you or oppose you.

Dear brother Abdullah, it is not possible to avoid long explanations. I means look at the texts attributed to Allah and rasool. Besides quran there are hundreds of books of hadith. If Allah and rasool needed so much text to explain to us humans just one thing called islam then can you blame anyone for trying to explain what islam is as one understands? Moreover add to that the texts in form of tafaseer and books of history and biographies of the prophet and interpretation of ahadith and many many books of fiqh.

The attitude that we can know islam without much reading is not going to be helpful in my view. Regardless coming back to language, you and I both know that a child speaks the language but unless he studies language he cannot answer the related questions. Likewise arabs speak arabic but have they studied its origin, development and construction? Most such explanation we see today are by nonmuslim scholars. If you listen to lectures of parwez sb and mullahs you will see who comes through more sensibly. It is purely on the basis of vested interests that some people resort to make beliefs and spread misinformation about people who try to help them. The quran is not only against chiefs and rulers but also against mullahs and bankers.

Today our main problem is with RIBAA and its definition. All mullahs are keeping their mouths tightly shut because they have no alternative to offer. All because they fail to offer definition of RIBAA. If you think I am wrong then try offering your solution. If our mullahs are useless where we need them to guide us then what are they good for? You are free to get any arab mullah to define ribaa. You will see that they cannot define this word the way it is used in the quran. This should open your eyes to what mullahs are all about. They are agents of rulers and bankers. How can we know that? Simply by going through their fatwas in their books of fiqh. If people still follow them blindly then what is there for me to say? I can only express my reasons and let reason work on peoples' minds. One day they will have to accept what I am saying because there is no other way to go about this thing. I know mullahs will not sit idle and keep on doing their work for as long as they can but the end is going to be very regrettable for them and their followers as it always has been because laws of Allah that operate in the universe are permanent and unbiased.

You ask whether we should develop our understanding according to quran or should we bend quranic translation according to our understanding. Dear brother, is there any way to understand anything other than the way we understand it? All explanations of everyone we come across only and only convince us one way or the other that is why we support or oppose them. If we really think about it in actual fact it is our own judgement that we follow not of others.

This means whatever we decide about the quran it is our own decision not of others. It is points like these that we never ponder upon to realise what we are actually doing. Had you realised you would not have asked me this question the answer to which is so obvious.

Coming to understanding of the quran, I have already explained that interpretation of the quran rests with us not with anyone else and the best way to interpret the quran is to go by setting up a criterion. Such a criterion that serves the purpose of the quran as well as yours and that that criterion has to be something that others cannot refute. If you try to set up a standard that others can easily refute then that is not a standard at all because a standard has to be such that is irrefutable by all sides involved. Since the quran claims to be universal that calls for a universally acceptable standard. A standard that even nonmuslims cannot refute. Once you have that standard and interpret the quran as per that standard, there is none on this earth that can refute it. That is the way to prove the quran is proof of divine existence and divine rule.

This is the standard that is pointed out by great scholars of islam like sir syed, farahi, iqbal, parwez etc. These people have given us a formula which is true even though they themselves did not manage to work out the quran according to it. But they started out alright. If we keep working according to that standard, we are bound to complete the interpretation of the quran that will be irrefutable. This is why we should not let ignorant and arrogant mullahs stop us because delaying is very bad for ourselves and the rest of humanity.

The day people realise what I am talking about that is the day we will start working on the quran according to what we were supposed to do always. We will only and only then come to know what RIBAA means and what BAYEE means, what salaah means and what zakaah means, what jinn means and what malaaikah means etc etc. Only when we have worked all this out world will follow us because we would have shown the world we are the leaders. Just now we are not at that stage and we must get to that stage if we really think that the quran is worth the effort. The true interpretation of the quran will be in our hands if we did that and we will know it is true not by authentication of our mullahs but because it will be free of internal and external contradictions ie it will be consistent within and consistent with respect to realities of real world ie when we have interpreted the quran correctly we will end up with a perfect manifesto of islam and its constitution as a divine program or road map for us to follow and end up free, just , fair, compassionate, brethren, progressive and prosperous therefore in peace. That is what Allah will reward us for in hereafter. You do not get awarded for nothing. You ar awarded because you are set up a goal/target and once you achieve it you become eligible for award.

Try to understand Quran as a whole do not cherry pick Quran.

Dear brother Abdullah, it is not possible to avoid long explanations. I means look at the texts attributed to Allah and rasool. Besides quran there are hundreds of books of hadith. If Allah and rasool needed so much text to explain to us humans just one thing called islam then can you blame anyone for trying to explain what islam is as one understands? Moreover add to that the texts in form of tafaseer and books of history and biographies of the prophet and interpretation of ahadith and many many books of fiqh.

The attitude that we can know islam without much reading is not going to be helpful in my view. Regardless coming back to language, you and I both know that a child speaks the language but unless he studies language he cannot answer the related questions. Likewise arabs speak arabic but have they studied its origin, development and construction? Most such explanation we see today are by nonmuslim scholars. If you listen to lectures of parwez sb and mullahs you will see who comes through more sensibly. It is purely on the basis of vested interests that some people resort to make beliefs and spread misinformation about people who try to help them. The quran is not only against chiefs and rulers but also against mullahs and bankers.

Today our main problem is with RIBAA and its definition. All mullahs are keeping their mouths tightly shut because they have no alternative to offer. All because they fail to offer definition of RIBAA. If you think I am wrong then try offering your solution. If our mullahs are useless where we need them to guide us then what are they good for? You are free to get any arab mullah to define ribaa. You will see that they cannot define this word the way it is used in the quran. This should open your eyes to what mullahs are all about. They are agents of rulers and bankers. How can we know that? Simply by going through their fatwas in their books of fiqh. If people still follow them blindly then what is there for me to say? I can only express my reasons and let reason work on peoples' minds. One day they will have to accept what I am saying because there is no other way to go about this thing. I know mullahs will not sit idle and keep on doing their work for as long as they can but the end is going to be very regrettable for them and their followers as it always has been because laws of Allah that operate in the universe are permanent and unbiased.

You ask whether we should develop our understanding according to quran or should we bend quranic translation according to our understanding. Dear brother, is there any way to understand anything other than the way we understand it? All explanations of everyone we come across only and only convince us one way or the other that is why we support or oppose them. If we really think about it in actual fact it is our own judgement that we follow not of others.

This means whatever we decide about the quran it is our own decision not of others. It is points like these that we never ponder upon to realise what we are actually doing. Had you realised you would not have asked me this question the answer to which is so obvious.

Coming to understanding of the quran, I have already explained that interpretation of the quran rests with us not with anyone else and the best way to interpret the quran is to go by setting up a criterion. Such a criterion that serves the purpose of the quran as well as yours and that that criterion has to be something that others cannot refute. If you try to set up a standard that others can easily refute then that is not a standard at all because a standard has to be such that is irrefutable by all sides involved. Since the quran claims to be universal that calls for a universally acceptable standard. A standard that even nonmuslims cannot refute. Once you have that standard and interpret the quran as per that standard, there is none on this earth that can refute it. That is the way to prove the quran is proof of divine existence and divine rule.

This is the standard that is pointed out by great scholars of islam like sir syed, farahi, iqbal, parwez etc. These people have given us a formula which is true even though they themselves did not manage to work out the quran according to it. But they started out alright. If we keep working according to that standard, we are bound to complete the interpretation of the quran that will be irrefutable. This is why we should not let ignorant and arrogant mullahs stop us because delaying is very bad for ourselves and the rest of humanity.

The day people realise what I am talking about that is the day we will start working on the quran according to what we were supposed to do always. We will only and only then come to know what RIBAA means and what BAYEE means, what salaah means and what zakaah means, what jinn means and what malaaikah means etc etc. Only when we have worked all this out world will follow us because we would have shown the world we are the leaders. Just now we are not at that stage and we must get to that stage if we really think that the quran is worth the effort. The true interpretation of the quran will be in our hands if we did that and we will know it is true not by authentication of our mullahs but because it will be free of internal and external contradictions ie it will be consistent within and consistent with respect to realities of real world ie when we have interpreted the quran correctly we will end up with a perfect manifesto of islam and its constitution as a divine program or road map for us to follow and end up free, just , fair, compassionate, brethren, progressive and prosperous therefore in peace. That is what Allah will reward us for in hereafter. You do not get awarded for nothing. You ar awarded because you are set up a goal/target and once you achieve it you become eligible for award.

Yes Quran is easy to understand but do you or some GAP have good knowldege to do that?
