    @babadeena
    actually what I said is " Deen cannot be understood on the basis of logic "ONLY", believer should believe in Allah and His "Hukm/Teachings/Commands" should be followed whether its makes sense ot human mind or not, because there is a limitation to human mind "how far it can think". I hope this time you understand it.

    Re: Are you living a dream? The DeenShow - Ustad Nouman Ali Khan (MUST SEE)

    It is a good talk over all but problems start when people become dependent upon so called priestly class and are turned into unthinking ritualistic muslims instead of what deen is overall about.

    Deen is not about praying 24, 7 but getting on with life and zikr is not about allahoo 24, 7 but about reflection, planning and execution to ensure a paradise on this very earth. Islam is not against what people want but it gives them guideline as to how to get it properly. It is only against people getting what they need and desire if it results in loss of freedom of others, inflicts injustice, unfairness and cruelty on others. Islam is all about human progress and prosperity. It is anti poverty and ignorance.

    The very idea that you are living in this world to die tomorrow therefore you should not be living your life to its full potential is anti quran. It is fatalism and a make belief that has nothing to do with islam. The quran teaches a good life in this world and hope of yet greater hereafter.

    Materialism is getting things by doing things against advice of Allah. In the quran Allah says he has made lawful all that is good for mankind and asks, who has forbidden good thing of life for people 7/31? People are doing great if they get cars and nice houses and gardens and what have you but must care for each other. It is use and abuse and exploitation of each other that is forbidden becaue these are things that bring shame upon humanity ie humans should be ashamed of going harm to each other.

    Muslims are ignorant and poor because mullas keep condemning good things of life rather than the evil inflicted by some on others. This is why prayers, zikr and keeping away from good things is thought of virtuous and a purpose in itself. This is islam of ignorant, lazy and crazy people who lack knowledge and clear thinking to keep things in their proper perspective and correct context.

    Humans are physical beings and they need physical things to live on eg food and water etc. Deen gives people rules to base their human organization upon so that they progress and prosper.

    Nouman Ali Khan speaking at ICNA convention 2010: Time, Love, Praise and Encouragement in Relationships - MUST WATCH

    You should really watch this lecture, if you are married, have children and live in a western country.

    Nouman is the founder and CEO of Bayyinah, as well as the lead instructor for a number of Bayyinah courses including the ‘Fundamentals of Classical Arabic’ and ‘Divine Speech’. His first exposure to Arabic study was in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he completed his elementary education. He continued Arabic grammar study in Pakistan, where he received a scholarship for ranking among the top 10 scores in the national Arabic studies board examinations in 1993. But his serious training in Arabic began in the United States in 1999 under Dr. Abdus-Samie, founder and formal principal of Quran College, Faisalabad, Pakistan who happened to be touring the US for intensive lectures in Tafsir and Arabic studies. Under Dr. Abdus-Samie, Nouman developed a keen methodical understanding of Arabic grammar. He further benefited from Dr. Abdus-Samie by internalizing his unique teaching methods and later translating his work into English for the benefit of his own students. Nouman served as professor of Arabic at Nassau Community College until ’06 and has taught Modern Standard and Classical Arabic at various venues for nearly 7 years with over 10,000 students nationwide. Currently he has dedicated himself to a seven-year-long project, of conducting a linguistic & literary focus Qur’anic Tafseer series in English. Recordings of sessions conducted so far can be downloaded at www.bayyinah.com/dream.
