ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Monday adjourned the hearing of the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) implementation case to May 3, DawnNews reported.
The court, moreover, directed the authorities to bring former attorney general Malik Abdul Qayyum back to Pakistan.
During the hearing, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) presented its report which the court regarded as unsatisfactory. The court then directed the NAB to formulate a report covering those who were questioned in the case.
Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’s reply was submitted regarding the appointment of Adnan Khwaja, a former managing director of the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL).
Counsel for the NAB chairman, Shaiq Usmani, argued that the prime minister was unaware of the Khwaja’s conviction.
Usmani moreover said that it was the responsibility of the concerned secretary to make the premier aware of the conviction.
To this, Justice Asif Khosa remarked that the former secretary of theestablishment division, Ismail Qureshi, had clarified that

I think everyone in the forum is only looking at one part of the picture rather than the complete portrait. If you remember what happened on May 2nd in Karachi and similarly after assassination of Benazir, then you will also figure out that the political parties do not really care about the people of Pakistan rather are more than happy to slaughter them for their own good.

If CJ convicts Gilani and throws him in jail, then PPPP will go to each and every extreme to ensure that Pakistan suffers for the decision. This is what they have done in the past and this is going to be repeated throughout Pakistan. This is what PPPP basically is; A bunch of Thugs! Furthermore, when CJ puts pressure on the government or if there is a decision pending against the government, then KSE sheds 100 points straight away, wiping out billions.

All cases will be tried to be prolonged till the temporary setup comes before elections, and then decisions will come like waterfall.
