Urdu and Punjabi speakers live throughout the region and they also want a separate province as they too are allergic to Takht-e-Lahore's neglecting attitude. There is only one MNA from Vehari who belongs from Nawaz league, her name is Tehmina Daultana (Punjabi speaking) and she too supports the new province. PTI's Iqbal Khakwani is a Saraiki speaking politician from Vehari. This district has a mixture of all three languages. Kis dunya mein ho ?

President Zardari says Seraiki province will be formed before the general elections.


While having a meeting with party workers in Multan, he said that the time is the best for the formation of a new province for the people of south Punjab.

He said that some people were opposing the new province for their vested interests but they would have to face defeat.

the creation of a new province is the voice of the downtrodden who have been facing tremendous problems for a long time now. The new province would facilitate the indigenous people in resolving their issues on a priority basis.

Before this, PM Gilani has said that the people scared of Seraiki province are trying to remove him from his office; but such conspiracies would be foiled with unity and support of the people.
