House of Wisdom (Primarily for Sunni Muslims)

The inspiration for creating this group is to revive the memories of that stupendous institution of Islam which was created in the reign of Arab Abbasids, the era when Muslims used to hold sway in the vast territories of the then world and were the torch bearers of various academic disciplines including science & technology.

That iconic “House of Wisdom” used to be the centre of high learning, research and dialectical debates as well for not only the gigantic Muslim scholars of that dominant empire but for non Muslims as well.

The rules for debates are very simple and lax here as it was the norm of that great centre of excellence. However the abusive and derogatory terms should be prohibited to produce in such discussions.

Any respectable member of this friendly group can criticise any religious authority, doctrine, dogma and individual provided it will accompanied by his / her intellectual reasoning supplemented by some credible sources.
