I follow Mr Hassan Nisar because of his excellent logical analysis skills. But recently, I was unable to digest one of his opinions because I had already thought a lot about it and my views are completely different than his. In his “mere mutabiq” show aired on 27th May 2012, he discussed about the Western strategies against the East. He said that it’s western strategy to idolize their entertainers and hide their true talent like a sin. You can listen to his argument below:
My first reason of dis-agreeing with him is that I have spent a year in UK and I have analyzed the western society closely. One of their biggest worries is that their new generation is following the celebrities blindly and they are finding short ways to get famous and rich. This is one of the reasons that British need immigrants, though they never openly admit it. “Daily Mail” is one of the most famous newspapers of UK, on January 12, 2012 an article was published titled “Average migrant worker earns more a year in the UK than British-born - especially if they are childless”. The author reported that immigrants have left British born jobless. I commented on that article and stated the fact that British is producing low number of scientists, engineers and doctors while entertainers are produced in mass and since immigrants are mostly technical people that’s why they earn more than an average local worker. To my surprise, my comment received 460+ likes and it is ranked the best rated comment among 110 comments which shows that most Britons agree with me. The other reason I disagree with him is because the part of our youth following western entertainers are the educated one. They are much more aware than the youth who idolizes maula jut. Most of our new generation singers started their career after completing their bachelor degrees. I neither encourage nor discourage the saturation of western culture in our culture, but to criticize those who like something in western culture is wrong. We have to respect each other’s choices and opinions.
I decided to send an email to “mere mutabiq” program and ask my question from Mr Hassan Nisar. I was surprised to listen to the question which was asked on behalf of me. They completely twisted and manipulated my question and asked a completely different question. The content of my email sent to “mere mutabiq” is written below:
“
Hello Sir/Madame,
My name is Muneeb Noor and I am studying M.S. in Advanced Computing Science in UK.
I am a fan of Hassan Nisar, but I disagree with one of his comments and I would like to convey my message to him. He said in his last programme that its Western conspiracy to glorify their entertainers so that our youth follow those icons. The reality is that if its a conspiracy, then they are suffering the most from that. I have observed their society and their people. Their own teenagers are trying their best to follow those icons and earn easy money. In science subjects, the ratio of British and International students
is roughly 75:25 while in art subjects, such as music and sports the ratio is appx 20:80. You can see the big difference, and they know that their youth are not going in right direction. They are short of doctors and engineers, and they have to import them from countries like India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
I would appreciate if this question is asked from Hassan Nisar. Thank you for your
time.
Regards,
Muneeb

You can watch and listen to the question asked and Mr Hassan Nisar’s reply aired on 17th June 2012 “mere mutabiq” show.

I was really disappointed when I heard his reply. First reason is obvious that my question was mis interpreted, and the second reason was his selection of words. His statement that all of us go to the West to serve, are wrong. As even in my comment posted months ago, I stated the fact that I will return to my country as soon as I complete my degree. Mr Hassan Nisar is an excellent analyst, but sometimes he refuses to hear counter argument(s). Also, our anchors should carefully select the words used for the answers given to the questions wisely because the person asking the question doesn’t get a chance to defend his/her opinion in front of the camera. Sometimes, he declares everyone who opposes his opinion as dumb which is ethically and morally wrong because it stops the person in audience from thinking about all the perspectives in his/her own way.
