The family is an institution through which we learn to distinguish between right and wrong, because the first contact a child has is when he or she comes to this world is with their mother and father. Many of the values we inherit are through the family and our parents.

Does there need to be work on educating our parents so they can institutionalize values within society ...

There is no question that ‘Mohajir’ people made a huge contribution in making Pakistan a nation. It was hard for the ancestors of the current generation to leave their homes and the graves of their forefathers and come to Pakistan. Indeed this was a big sacrifice.
