Pakistan Alerts Forces Over NATO Raids

The commander of the Pakistan's army has ordered the country's military to firmly respond to 'irresponsible' NATO attacks on the country's territory.


On Saturday, Pakistan's Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani condemned the US-led NATO helicopter strikes on two military checkpoints in the country's northwest, which killed 28 soldiers earlier in the day, English-language domestic daily the Nation reported.

General Kayani ordered that the Pakistani forces make necessary arrangements for retaliatory measures, should the Western military alliance repeat such offensives.

Also on Saturday, Pakistan's Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the attacks had directly assaulted the country's sovereignty. She added that the Pakistani government would broach the issue in an appropriate forum.

Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani also strongly condemned the offensives and the country's foreign ministry has summoned the US Ambassador to Islamabad, Cameron Munter, and lodged a formal complaint over the matter.

Islamabad also closed NATO supply routes into landlocked Afghanistan. The forces rely heavily on the routes.

Gen. Kyani Sahb, Provide our forces the weapon they require to shoot down american Air-crafts and our forces should be ready 24 hours for such kind of attacks from cross border. It can not be tolerated in future that forces were sleeping during this attack happened. Provide them all necessary equipment and some anti air craft missils. Also reserve a small graveyard land for nato soldiers who get kill in future by our forces.

Guys you know what.....The current problem with us is that we just see things in a small level and for just a short period of time. However, being a leader of a military of a unstable economic country(where political leaders are trying to sell It), you need to think from every perspective. I still love Pak Army... It is the only organised institution in Pakistan and I am sure......KIYAANI RULING PERIOD WILL BE REMEMBERED IN THE HISTORY OF PAKISTAN.
