MANSEHRA: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday alleged that government was killing its own citizens in parts of the country at the behest of the United States in the so-called war on terror.

Addressing a public meeting at Baffa in connection with by-election, he flayed the government for allowing drone attacks that were, according to him, killing innocent tribesmen in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata).

Imran flayed the government for the killing of whom he called innocent citizens in the tribal areas of the country under pressure from the United States. He alleged that the powerful people at the helm of affairs had put at stake the country?s future by filling their foreign accounts with the hard-earned money of the nation. He said that a person like Mian Muhammad Nawaz, who was claiming to be saviour for the nation, had paid only Rs5,000 annual tax.

The PTI chairman said it was a must to have a real opposition in the assemblies to protect the country, as the Awami National Party (ANP) had captured Frontier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Punjab, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Sindh and Pakistan People?s Party (PPP) the centre. These parties had grabbed power while weakening the existence of the country through their loot and plunder, he added.

Without naming any person, he said what would be the future of a country where a thug had assumed the supreme powers. PTI District President Sardar Khan and the party candidate from the constituency, Niaz Khan Sarkhali, also spoke on the occasion.

The Tehrik-e-Taliban should depose Hamikmullah Mehsud as Amir and unanimously elect Imran Khan as the unified Amir! After all he seems to be so sympathetic to their cause. The lines have been blurred for Mr.Khan as he fails to differentiate between the “Victim” and the “Aggressor”
