APHC denounces use of brute force against mourners
India trampling over people’s religious rights in IHK
Srinagar, December 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference has strongly condemned the use of brute force by Indian police personnel against peaceful Muharram processions in Srinagar.
The APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi, Nayeem Ahmad Khan and Javid Ahmad Mir have termed the police action
as one of the worst examples of state terrorism.They said that international community should take cognisance of the fact that India was trampling over all fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people including the right to perform religious rites.
The Acting Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza while addressing a public gathering in Qazigund area said that the people of Kashmir would continue their liberation struggle, despite all odds.
Meanwhile, forceful anti-India demonstrations were held in Rajouri Kadal, Nowhatta, Gojwara, Kawdara and Haba Kadal areas of Srinagar against Indian state terrorism. The demonstrators said that the gross human rights violations by Indian troops in the occupied territory were posing a great threat to the security and stability of the region.
